Watches made between the rebranding of Panerai in 1993 to the acquisition of the company by the Vendôme group in 1996-97 are usually referred to as "pre-Vendôme" models. The "logo" Luminor is so-nicknamed because of the presence of the distinctive "OP" signature for Officine Panerai on the dial.
