Condition

The movement is in working condition at the time of cataloguing. The date function is working properly. The bezel with signs of wear at places. The band with minor surface wear throughout and pinhead dings at 4 o'clock. Underneath the lugs with minor surface wear from removing the bracelet. The case back with surface wear toward the edges from removing the case back. Otherwise the case is in good condition with no signs of polishing and retain its original proportions. The bracelet and folding clasp with minor wear. The end links is stamped '557' and bracelet is stamped '78350 and 19'. Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of time and may need a service at the buyer's expense. Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement and we do not guarantee the authenticity of any individual component parts since subsequent repairs and restoration work may have resulted in the replacement of original parts. Catalogue Note

With an UAE enamel logo of a lighthouse and a writing that translates as “King Abdulaziz University”, the present watch was a gift for teachers from the most important University in Saudi Arabia. Not only does the watch possess a very rare logo dial, it is furthermore enhanced with a well preserved luminous plots and a case that is in exemplary condition.
