Condition

The movement is in working condition at the time of cataloguing. The case with hardly any signs of wear. The bands with very minor signs of tarnishing and wear. The case back with very minor signs of wear, hardly visible with the naked eye. Otherwise the watch is in excellent overall condition. The buckle with very minor signs of wear. Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of time and may need a service at the buyer's expense. Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement and we do not guarantee the authenticity of any individual component parts since subsequent repairs and restoration work may have resulted in the replacement of original parts. Catalogue Note

Glashütte launched the Senator Meissen collection in collaboration with the Meissen Porcelain Company, which has 300 years of porcelain experience. The present watch features an attractive white porcelain dial decorated with glittering hand-painted flowers, furthermore accompanied by a yellow gold bezel with engraved Roman numerals. The dial is a showcase of Meissen's masterful porcelain skills, displaying ultra-thin strokes and delicate colouring. Meissen's signature "cross swords" emblem could also be found at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock.
