Catalogue Note
Joshua Anson, and his two brothers Henry Joseph and Richard Edwin set up the Anson Brothers photography firm in 1878. They were based in Hobart, Tasmania until c.1891. The views include: Port Arthur, Hobart, The Silver Fall, Huon Road, a train from the Tasmanian Main Line Company (existing between 1872 to 1890), Huon Bridge, Derwent River, Shot Tower on Browns River Road, and Cascade Brewery.
