Catalogue Note

An account of the Turkish-Venetian wars in Crete from 1644 to 1669, in which Valiero took part in a sea battle off the Dardanelles against the Turks in 1646. He was elected Provveditore Generale of Corfu, Zakynthos and Cefalonia in 1667.
