Château Lafite 1978 Pauillac, 1er Cru Classé2 bts - u. 1bn, 1 just into neck, good color and clarity, labels slightly soiled and slightly nicked, 8 bts - u. 3bn, 2vts, 1ts, scuffed labels, repacked from owcI always loved this wine from the start and now, from magnum, it is terrific. Very aromatic bouquet, symptomatic of this late vintage. So much fat and glycerol on the palate. Finishes so spicy and lacy. The most recent bottle had a meaty nose. Tea and roses.
