The wine falls slowly down the glass leaving a trail like a snail, a sure sign of glycerol and 'fat'. A bouquet of glorious chocolate and iron. . Smoky blackcurrants. Tremendous, almost sweet scent. Smells like a great, much older wine from the Côte de Nuits. Vanilla pods and cinnamon sticks. Russian leather. Huge tannin and acidity.
