Condition
The canvas has not been lined and is securely attached to a keyed wooden stretcher. There are some fine lines of scattered hairline craquelure, including corresponding to the central stretcher member. However, these are minimal and not distracting. Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals some minor, isolated spots of cosmetic retouching, notably in the black horse in the left hand side, possibly addressing some old paint flaking. Otherwise, this work is in good condition and is ready to hang. Presented in a decorative gilt frame.
