In 2018, the nose is firmer and 'tighter' than La Tâche, with the depth of the old vines. Then it opens out and calls you in with a mysterious smokiness. Heathery richness on the palate, so ripe and succulent, with primary raspberry flavours and such pure overall fruit. This is a wine that caresses - a beautiful, elegant gemstone in Burgundy's crown.
