Dominus 2001 NapaThis was the last vintage with Merlot in it - only 4%. In 2018, this is a 'grand vin', in complete harmony with itself - and with the person drinking it! Coffee, cassis and spices throughout, seamless stuff. The fruit and tannins are completely integrated. Such an 'adult', classy wine, with structure and the glossy fruit one expects, but with complexity too. This has really lived up to its initial great reputation.
