Condition

A few glass cabochons are missing at several places, some others could be later replacements. Some of the applied "poupées" are slightly loose and can be easily reattached. One of the five gilt copper mounts is missing, two others with losses to the enamel and wear to the gilding, the two others engraved with wear to the gilding. The one hinged door to the back of the chasse is loose, with losses to the copper to the edges, notably to the lower and left edges. Some of the gilt copper plaques are slighlty misshaped. Somes nails are missing to the mounts. Minor oxidation and greening are visible in some places to the gilt copper. Otherwise very rare and desirable Medieval work of art.
