Catalogue Note
A Flemish goldsmith and medallist, Roëttiers was active in Paris. He is notable for the so-called Orloff service he made with his father for Catherine the Great (Nissim de Camondo Museum, Paris, and Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York). A medallion of the same model is preserved in the Louvre Museum (inv. RF3024).
