Description

  • 51 x 29 x 16.5 cm, 20 x 11 3/8  x 10 3/5  in.
modeled in mirror image, each beast depicted recumbent on a rectangular base painted with floral sprays, one lion with its paw resting on a cub while the other grasping a brocade ball, eyes unglued

Condition

Both Buddhist lions laid on stands. Both with light firing cracks, wear to the enamels, scratches to the surface and tiny losses to the raised parts. Some teeth may have been restored. One stand with a broken corner which has been glued back.
