with a 'naturalist' decor, probably woven after a drawing of Jean Revel

Condition

The image is quite accurate. Very few slight stains (almost not visible). Good overall condition.

Catalogue Note

This lampas covered the armchair of N.Q. Foliot delivered to Madame de Pompadour in château de Crécy, sold by Sotheby's Paris on April 16 2013 (lot 129). We can also see it on the portrait painted by Quentin de La Tour, kept in the Louvre museum.
