comprising; three Suzani embroidered panels (approx. 155 by 108cm, 170 by 109cm and 114 by 111cm), a Suzani border (approx. 234 by 29cm), an Indian silk dress band (approx. 220 by 70cm), an Ottoman embroidered turban cover (approx. 96 by 90cm) and towel linen (approx. 203 by 24cm), a Chinese damask panel (approx. 60 by 54cm), two brocade panels (approx. 120 by 56cm and 217 by 52cm), a Chinese circular embroidered panel (approx. 70 by 69cm), a small embroidered felt cap (approx. 70 by 30cm), a striped polychrome damask panel with lace edging (approx. 105 by 98cm), a black lace sampler (approx. 59 by 27cm), an embroidered shawl (approx. 165 by 156cm), and a Cantonese embroidered shawl (approx. 148 by 152cm) (16)

Extended Description and Condition Comprising of a Nuruta Susani panel, Uzbekistan, probably late 19th century (approximately 155cm by 108cm) embroidered with floral and coffee pot motifs, three visible joins, discoloured condition with some surface stains and holes, however some of the holes are beautifully repaired; another late 19th century Susani panel (approximately 170cm by 109cm) on a cotton ground with three joins and an Ikat edging and cotton backing with ikat edging on the reverse as well, with distinctive black surrounds with two motifs including bird motifs, and some surface stains; a square Susani panel (approximately 114cm by 111cm), ivory ground composed of four strips with 3 visible joins, shows slight discolouration and some surface stains. A Susani border strip (approximately 234cm by 29cm) on cotton ground with no backing, black edging and two motifs in two stitching patterns, in overall good condition; an Indian silk dress band, 20th century, (approximately 220cm by 70cm) with no reverse lining, and only one visible join. Decorated with red and white flowers on a saffron yellow ground, this dress band is embroidered in a combination of Shaded Satin Stich for the round flowers and Chain Stich for all other elements; an Ottoman embroidered turban cover (approximately 96cm by 90cm) in distressed condition with very frayed edges, and surface stains and holes; an Ottoman embroidered linen towel (approximately 203cm by 24cm), metal thread used in embroidery, and a date palm/ pine cone tree motif at either end; a Chinese damask and embroidery panel probably late 19th century, (approximately 60cm by 54cm), saffron yellow ground with a foliate motif in the weave and a central circle with an embroidered Chinese man; a French brocade panel, 19th century, (approximately 120cm by 56cm) in overall good condition; a gold and silver brocade panel, probably Italian, late 18th century, (approximately 217cm by 52cm) with repeated interlacing design, still retaining its original red double-banded selvages, making the overall width with selvages 54cm; a Chinese circular embroidered silk panel late 19th century, (approximately 70cm by 69cm) produced for the European market, and in overall good condition; a small embroidered felt folk cap, European, late 19th century, (approximately 70cm by 30cm) with some detached/ lost motifs, probably from Eastern Europe; a later striped polychrome damask panel, probably 20th century, with lace edging, 19th century (approximately 105cm by 98cm); an unusual black lace sampler, European, late 19th/ early 20th century, (approximately 59cm by 27cm), on a glazed linen ground, with two small ties attached to the right corners. A Kashmiri polychrome embroidered wool shawl, Indian production for export to European markets probably 19th century (approximately 165cm by 156cm), reverse shows the original vibrant concentrated turquoise/ peacock blue however the front central panel is faded to a greenish blue hue and decorated with small 'boteh' motifs on each corner, on one of the inner corners is a small embroidered circle with "786" and "Bismillah" written in Arabic, both symbolic for "in the name of God", and the two characters outside the circle are the initials/code/serial number/seal of the artist, a signature, a deep border decorated with 'Kashidakari' (hand embroidery) in Rezkaar or Razer Kar style (a variant of Sozni embroidery) and small tassels on two corners (a shawl such as this would have been worn as a "daeg" or headscarf by the local women in Kashmir and were extremely popular in the 1960s); a Chinese Cantonese silk embroidered shawl (central panel is approximately 148cm by 152cm), central silk panel is embroidered (with scene of everyday life) in tones of blue, pink and orange, very coarse and with faded colouring. Edged with crochet lace and deep fringing, 70cm long (the fringe is 60cm long).
