Condition

DIAL: The dial is in good order with no visible cracks. The hands are intact and the hour hand is possibly a replacement. CASE: The inner case is dented on the inside pierced case band but there are no cracks or fissures. The outer case is rubbed to the centre but there are some pin holes to the lower part of the case. The push button is probably a replacement. MOVEMENT: not running at the time of cataloguing, balance is free. The plunge repeat cannot be depressed easily and so the repeat mechanism does not work correctly. Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of its timekeeping. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement and that a service may be required at the buyer's discretion.
"In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above. All dimensions in catalogue descriptions are approximate. Condition reports may not specify mechanical replacements or imperfections to the movement, case, dial, pendulum, separate base(s) or dome.
