  • 80cm. 31½in. high overall
7¼-inch enamel dial signed Caron A Paris, the square-plated five pillar movement with anchor escapement and silk suspension, star-cut outside count wheel striking on a bell, the drum sourmounted by a female figure with a parasol above boldly cast trailing flowers and a mythical bird, the bold rococo plinth with further figures in 18th century costume; on a gilt-mounted ebonised plinth

Condition

Enamel dial in good condition. Movement appears to retain the original wheel work throughout but is very dirty and much in need of a clean and service, bell hammer and pendulum lacking Case is in generally good condition throughout and appears to retain the original gilding but is very dirty, trellis or glass panel missing from pendulum aperture below the dial. rear glass panel cracked; ebonised plinth is possibly associated and previously had feet. No pendulum or winder.
