Description

  • 7 cm., 2 3/4 in. diameter,
circular, decorated overall with a 'mosaïque' pattern of gold paillons picked out in scarlet and green on a translucent blue ground, ropetwist and opaque white enamel borders, maker's mark, charge and discharge marks of Henri Clavel, date letter for 1786, in modern fitted black suede case

Condition

Firing flaw in the white enamel causing mottle, traces of restoration on the blue enamel rim along the base, otherwise good condition
