Description

  • 8cm., 3 1/8 in. wide
the six miniatures in watercolour and gouache on vellum, painted with countryside pastimes, attributed to Louis-Nicolas van Blarenberghe, set into a rectangular tortoiseshell snuffbox with gold piqué foliate scroll ornament and gold mounts, maker's mark, Paris titre et garantie for 1819-1838

Condition

Good condition apart from cracks in tortoiseshell base and one side. Miniatures fresh.
