Description

  • 26.2 cm, 10 1/4  in.
each standing four-square, the head turned to one side with a long curled trunk flanked by tusks, the body caparisoned with a saddle draped with a cloth decorated with auspicious motifs including a flying crane amidst clouds and crashing waves on each side, surmounted by a boy wearing a coat decorated with auspicious emblems amongst clouds and a tiger-skin headdress

Condition

The elephants are in good condition with the exception of some denting to one of the upper left hind quarters, some enamel cracking and flaking around the right hand cuff of the robe of one rider and to the top of one elephant tail and some denting to the right tusk on one elephant.
