Description

  • 5 cm, 2 in.
the deep rounded sides rising from a short straight foot to a gently flared rim, painted to the exterior with two fruits in iron-red amidst crashing waves, the base with an apocryphal six-character Chenghua mark within a double square

Condition

The cup has a repaired circa 4cm., deep U-shaped break to the rim with an associated area of 6mm., infill to a rim chip, a 3cm., hairline rim crack, small rim glaze lines, several glaze lines running around the body and across the base of the foot.
