Description

  • 25.1 cm, 9 3/4  in.
the gently rounded sides rising from a short tapering foot to an everted rim, painted to the centre with a yellow-enamelled scaly five-clawed dragon in pursuit of a flaming pearl, encircled at the well and to the exterior by two similar dragons, all reserved on a rich cobalt-blue ground, the base with a six-character reign mark in underglaze blue

Condition

The dish has restoration to a circa 11cm., wide crescent-shaped section of the rim (at 2 o'clock), rim fritting and light glaze scratches.
