Description

  • 28 cm, 11 in.
modelled seated on a raised plinth with the feet shoulder-width apart and the right hand resting on the knee and the left hand held against his chest, the face with a fierce expression and a long beard, the head covered in a tall official's cap with a raised back, wearing a voluminous robe centred with a roundel over the rotund belly illustrating a dragon pursuing a 'flaming pearl', the reverse with a dragon in frontal pose, and further dragons and ruyi-clouds to the robe, all reserved against a green ground

Condition

The figure has been re-attached to the base with associated over-spray, the head has been re-attached again with associated overspray around the shoulders, fritting to the edges of the robe on the left and right arm, to the right hand and on the vertical supports of the stand, and restoration to his head dress,
