Description

  • 23.8 and 23.6 cm, 9 3/8  and 9 1/4  in.
each of rectangular section, rising from a stepped foot to a broad rounded shoulder and surmounted by a waisted neck, brightly enamelled to the front and back panels enclosing landscape set with pavilions, jagged rocks issuing gnarled trees and mountains, the sides decorated with birds amidst floral sprays, all reserved against a stone pattern ground, the white base enamelled in puce with a stylised peony

Condition

One vase with some area of restoration and associated over painting and over-spray to the front and back panel, the max measuring approx. max 6cm. wide, some further losses to the lower body above the feet. The other vase in overall good condition. Both vases with some minor cracks to surface and wear in consistent with age and use.
