Description

  • 16.3 cm, 6 1/3  in.
the compressed globular body rising from a slightly spreading foot to a flared rim, liberally splashed with gold around the exterior, the base with an apocryphal four-character Xuande mark

Condition

This censer is in good condition, with the exception of some general surface wear, and a shallow crack (approx. 1.7 cm) to the foot. The actual colour is of a slightly more red than the catalogue illustration.
