Description

  • 16 cm, 6 1/4  in.
the deep rounded sides rising from a short spreading foot to a slightly incurved rim, decorated inside and out with a combed feathery pattern of brown and white slip beneath a plain band at the rim, all under a transparent glaze

Condition

There is an area of discolouration to the rim (approx. 6.5 cm long, visible under the UV light), and a a shallow chip to the exterior of the foot (approx. 0.9 x 0.6 cm), both of which might be manufacturing flaws. There are some short hairlines to the rim and expected firing imperfections throughout, including glaze crackles, burst bubbles and a few adhered grits to the base.
