Description

  • 16.2 cm, 6 3/8  in.
the shallow rounded sides supported on a slightly tapered foot, the interior incised with a central medallion enclosing crashing waves and ruyi clouds surrounding a shou character roundel, with further waves encircling the roundel, covered overall with a lustrous sea-green glaze, the base inscribed with a six-character reign mark within a double-circle in underglaze blue

Condition

This dish has been broken into several pieces and restored. There are also two small areas (approx. 1 x 0.3 and 0.7 x 0.4 cm) to the exterior where the glazes have flaked off. There also some general wear throughout and nicks to the edges.
