Description

  • 12.4 cm, 4 7/8  in.
of ovoid form painted with three medallions, framed by brackets of stylised cloud scrolls, each roundel composed of a phoenix in flight amidst smaller clouds, all between cloud scrolls and Bajixiang emblems encircling the shoulder and lower body, a further band of cloud scrolls below the rim, the base with a leaf within a double circle in underglaze blue

Condition

This jar is in good condition overall, apart from some minor wear to the surface and some firing imperfections, including small glaze pulls and burst bubbles.
