Description

  • 8 cm, 3 1/8  in.
of circular form with flat upper and lower surfaces, delicately carved overall through the layers of rich cinnabar lacquer with floral blossoms and leaves, with lychees decorated in diaper patterns against a diapered ground of similar pattern, the interiors lacquered black

Condition

This box and cover are in good condition overall, apart from some minor losses,wear and cracks, consistent with age the use. The cover is slightly warped. There may have been some refreshing to the lacquer, in particular to the rims.
