Acquired in the early 20th century, and thence by descent.
Condition
Overall in good condition. Very minor nicks to the edges and a couple minute bruises to the rims. A small bruise to the back side of the cover. A white fissure running up the bottom of the box to the rim. The stone is much whiter than in the printed illustration with small icy patches as illustrated.
