Of geometric design, the polished amethyst inset with a circular-cut yellow sapphire weighing approximately 2.40 carats, size 52, signed Iribe, French assay mark for platinum (950°/00) and maker's mark, gross weight approximately 18.12 grams.

Condition

Signed IRIBE, stamped with French asay mark for platinum, maker's mark (F arrow M). Small chips on the amethyst facet edges visible to the naked eye. Overall in good condition. Gross weight approximately 18.12 grams.

Catalogue Note

Paul Iribe (1883-1935) was a talented artist, decorator and illustrator. He was a major influence on the artistic scene of the early 20th century. During his life, he collaborated with many great talents, such as Paul Poiret, Jean Cocteau, Cecil B. DeMille and Coco Chanel ; with whom he was romantically involved at the end of his life. Paul Iribe was one of the first artists to use platinum in his creations. This ring perfectly illustrates his innovative and creative style.
