The canvas has been relined. This painting is in very good condition, with bright colors intact. A fine web of craquelure is stable and evenly distributed throughout. Under UV inspection, scattered, minor retouches are visible throughout, with an area of concentration in the greenery and flowers to the sitter's right. Finely applied retouching in the face along craquelure lines maintains the painting's original appearance. This painting can hang as is and would possibly benefit from cleaning. Offered in a decoratively carved gilt frame.
