This work is well preserved, however the lower right hand corner of the sheet has been reconstructed and most of Girtin's signiture has been lost.

Catalogue Note
This recently rediscovered drawing dates to circa 1793-1794 and shows figures and their pony resting on the edge of woodland. In the foreground, rapidly drawn pigs bask in the sun. We are grateful to Gregory Smith for his help when cataloguing this work.
