Catalogue Note
Victor Hugo liked to draw caricatures, which allowed him to exaggerate the stroke of the pen in order to show the character and the personality of his models. He drew some of them for his children. We would like to thank Monsieur Pierre Georgel for kindly confirming the authenticity of this work. It will be inlcuded in the forthcoming catalogue raisonné.
