Condition

The sheet is affixed to the mount with adhesive tape along the upper edge. There are Artist's pinholes at each corner. The sheet undulates very slightly but appears stable. The paper has slightly thinned in a small number of places towards the lower edge and the lower right edge, only visible under raking light. There is a finger print at the centre of the extreme left edge and light handling marks to the edges of the sheet, most visible to the lower and right edges. There is staining in line with a previous mount towards the extreme edges, not visible in the present mount, and possible time staining to the sheet and minor fading of the ink. There is one small accretion towards the lower left corner and there may be light surface dust. This excepting, the work appears in very good overall condition. The work is window mounted and held behind glass in a stained wooden frame. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
