Condition

This work is in good overall condition as viewed. There is evidence of wear and losses to the edges of the work due to abrasions with the frame, but this does not affect the overall image. Upon close inspection, there are some minor losses to the pigment near the shadow on the lower left panel. There are few accretions on the upper left corner of the left panel, along with media accretions on the right edge of the right panel, but these are inherent to the artist's working method. There are light scratches at the bottom of the work, at the upper left corner, and at the top edge of the right panel, only noticeable upon close inspection and under bright light. There is a horizontal scratch and vertical scuff in the middle of the left panel, but this is only noticeable upon close inspection. Examination under ultraviolet light reveals minor spots of restoration along the edges of the two panels, one spot at the black shadow near the boat on the right panel, two spots at the black shadow near the boats on the left panel, and some light restoration at the lower left quadrant of the left panel. Framed.
