Catalogue Note

The artist was the first women painter from Southern Vietnam that graduated in 1958 from the first promotion of the École Supérieur des Beaux Arts de Saigon.  Following Truong Thi Thinh, other female artists such as Le Thi Luu and Nguyen Thi Kim also graduated from the École in later years. Truong Thi Thinh was directed by the painter Le Van De and is the wife of the painter Nguyen Tri Minh.
