Condition

This work is in good overall condition as viewed. There is evidence of light wear and losses along the edges of the work, but this does not affect the overall image. There is a slight indentation along the horizontal center of the work, consistent with the stretcher bar behind the canvas, with some associated faint cracks to paint, but this is only visible under bright light and close inspection. There is a very minor area of paint loss at the upper right (at sky). Examination under ultraviolet light reveals a few very minor and small spots of retouching, including at the bottom left corner of the work, a minor spot near the center of the horizon line, and a tiny spot at the left figure's white shirt. Framed.
