Condition

There are two pin sized holes, in the lower right corner and lower left quadrant. There is wear and foxing notably along the edges. Undulation in the work is likely due to moisture. These conditions are consistent with age and medium. The colors are brighter in reality than they appear in the catalogue illustration.

Catalogue Note

A unique copper etching by Ramkinkar Baij, this work depicts a lady holding rice paddy during the harvest in November in the season of Hemanta (just before winter). Hence the title Haimantika.
