Catalogue Note

Harold Rosenberg defined Conrad Marca-Relli as a “nomad of two continents". Marca-Relli was situated perfectly between the American history of abstract expressionism and a more traditional European figurative current. This peculiarity makes of Marca-Relli a free artist, a nomad of post-World War II painting.
