Catalogue Note

Gio Ponti on 'Domus' in 1950 wrote: "To us it is enough to point out, for now, the absolute modernity of this work and yet its extreme ancestrality. And modern-ancient as Campigli, and its matter, the matter for its expression, must be ceramics. Gambone is not only a master ceramist, he is a great artist who has found his full expression in ceramics."
