Condition
Overall fine, small patch on margin at 9 o'clock. The tortoiseshell veneer is cracked extensively and is lacking at three corners.

Another signed version of this portrait is in the Lourve, Paris (inv. no. RF 5082). The sitter is thought to be the daughter of Maréchal Exelmans (1775-1852).
