  • A GROUP OF THREE GOLD-MOUNTED SHELL AND MOTHER-OF-PEARL CAMEO WATCH KEYS CIRCA 1820
  • Cameo widths - First:32mm, Second: 38mm, Third: 40mm
• First: shell cameo with a profile bust of Napoleon and a God, the reverse with the head of a Greco/Roman God • Second: mother-of-pearl with the bust of a bewigged sage possibly Benjamin Franklin to one side, a hound to the reverse • Third: with three neo-classical busts • all keys with gold framework and surmounted by shell-form finials

Condition

All mounts with small marks and scratches. The key shank to the third key (with 3 bust cameo) is very loose and its cameo with double headed bust to the front with crack to the right-hand side, some solder repairs to mount, the mount with fan-shaped maker's mark with a 'D' to the centre. The second cameo key with signs of solder repair to some of the framework. The framework to the Napoleon cameo with maker's mark possibly DTS?
