Description

Château Mouton Rothschild 1982 Pauillac, 1er Cru ClasséLot 200: u. 12bn, bin-soiled labels and 2 slightly torn, Lot 201: u. 9bn, 3vts, bin-soiled labels, 1 slightly torn label, Lot 202: u. 9bn, 1vts, 2 levels into the neck, cellar-soiled and scuffed labels and capsules, 1 torn and partially missing label, 2 slightly raised corks, 1 slightly sunken cork, 2 partially torn capsules, excellent color and clarityLabel Artist: John Huston In 2018, this retains, and even expands upon, all its greatness. In magnum, it is majestically scented and lusciously mouth-filling. The cigar-box richness combines opulence with class, nobility of terroir with superb vintage conditions. One has the impression that it gets better and better in the glass, which augurs well for a future that I think is totally assured. The problem is staying away from it now...... Any wine that is so ultra-lappable has a tendency to disappear down very fortunate throats. Serena Sutcliffe, MW WA 100 200:12 bts (owc) 201:12 bts (owc) 202:12 bts (owc)Estimates are per lot
