Set with two carved emeralds and carved rubies and sapphires, accented by two sugarloaf sapphire cabochons, old European and single-cut diamonds, further applied with black enamel; circa 1930.

In good condition, with gentle wear and scratching to the platinum mounting, commensurate with age. The carved emeralds are medium green with some areas of desaturation, one with small eye-visible black inclusions scattered throughout; heavily included, but translucent. The carved rubies are medium-deep pinkish to purplish red, moderately to heavily included with some surface-reaching inclusions, translucent to semi-translucent. The carved sapphires are deep blue and of comparable quality. The sugarloaf cabochon sapphires are medium deep blue, moderately included and with minor abrasions. The diamonds weighing a total of 0.85 carat, are approximately G-I color, VS-SI clarity. Three areas of enamel loss seen on close inspection, exposing a gold ground. The brooch carriage is likely a later addition. Double-clip brooch measuring approximately 2¼ x ⅞ inches.
