Of stylised shield design, set with oval diamonds centring a briolette sapphire stated to weigh 45.74 carats, signed Cartier, French assay marks for gold and maker's marks.

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 79833, stating that the briolette sapphire, measuring approximately 12.95 x 16.35 x 21.30mm, weighing approximately 46 carats, is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating. Signed Cartier, French maker's marks and assay marks for 18 carat gold. Inscribed S 45.74, and B 31.80. For more information on the sapphire please refer to SSEF report. Diamonds stated to weigh a total of approximately 31.80 carats, on average G-H colour, VS clarity, as gauged and graded within the limitations of the mount. In excellent condition. Gross weight approximately 55 grams.
