Description

Set with an oval ruby flanked on either side by brilliant-cut diamonds, size 54, indistinct maker's mark.

Condition

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 106188, stating that the oval ruby, measuring 11.30 x 7.65 x 4.80mm, is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating and a minor amount of oil in fissures. Stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Ruby with typical inclusions one surface reaching fissure close to one of the prongs, minor chips. Gross weight approximately 8 grams.
