Description

Set with oval rubies and brilliant-cut diamonds, post and hinged back fittings, signed Marconi, Swiss maker's marks.

Condition

Accompanied by Gübelin report no. 17081145/1 and 2, stating that the fourteen oval rubies stated to weigh a total of 11.56 carats, measuring from approximately 4.54 x 4.36 x 3.41mm to approximately 8.63 x 6.20 x 2.39mm, are of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating. Each signed MARCONI, with Swiss maker's mark. Stamped 750 for 18 carat gold and GVA. Rubies well matched in colour, red of medium strong saturation, with typical surface-reaching inclusions, small scratches, abrasions and nicks. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 7.50 - 8.00 carats, on average J-K colour, SI-I clarity, Included, as gauged and graded in the mount. Minor signs of wear to the metal. In very good condition. Gross weight approximately 43 grams.
