Description

Comprising: a brooch designed as a panther with rotating head and articulated legs and tail, pavé-set with brilliant-cut diamonds, accented with sapphire spots, emerald eyes and onyx nose; articulated necklace and a pair of ear clips similarly set; all mounted in platinum, necklace length approximately 380mm, brooch convertible to clip pendant, all numbered, French assay and maker's marks, brooch and ear clips signed Cartier, ear clips with British hallmarks and maker's marks for Jacques Cartier, pendant fitting and screwdriver, case stamped Cartier.

Condition

Brooch, brooch fitting and pendant fitting signed Cartier, numbered 617090, stamped PT950 for platinum. Both brooch and pendant fittings with French assay marks for gold and French maker's marks. Necklace tested as platinum mount, numbered 617090, with French maker's mark, and clasp tongue with French assay mark for 18 karat gold. Ear Clips signed Cartier, numbered 610760A, stamped PLAT 950 and with French assay marks for platinum, French maker's marks, and with maker's marks for Jacques Cartier. One ear clip with British hallmarks, London, with date letter for 1995; and the other ear clip with British hallmark, London, date letter for 1988, stamped 950 and with French Import and Austrian Import assay marks for platinum, and with maker's mark for Cartier. Sapphires are of medium to medium dark blue colour and medium to strong saturation, with some scratches and nicks but not visible to the naked eye. Emeralds are of medium green colour and medium strong saturation, under 10x magnification, there are typical inclusions and a few surface reaching. Onyx is in good condition. Diamonds are bright and lively, estimated to weigh approximately 32.00 - 35.00 carats in total as gauged in the mount. Signs of normal wear to the metal, minor tarnish at the clasp and pin. Screwdriver of brass material. Overall in very good condition.
