Description

The necklace designed as a series of gold panels pavé-set with brilliant-cut diamonds, to the front embellished with alternating pear-shaped sapphires and yellow sapphires, length approximately 355mm; and the pair of ear clips, each set with brilliant-cut diamonds; both mounted in 18 karat yellow gold, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered, French assay and maker's marks, case stamped Van Cleef & Arpels.

Condition

Necklace signed VAN CLEEF & ARPELS, numbered M34152, inscribed 18Kt, OR, 750 and with French assay mark for 18 karat yellow gold, with maker's mark for Péry et Cie. Also inscribed D 18.44Ct and S 11.06Ct referring to the total weight of the diamonds and blue and yellow sapphires respectively. Ear clips signed VAN CLEEF & ARPELS, numbered 32217, stamped 750 and with French assay marks for gold, with maker's marks for Mathon Paris. Sapphires of medium dark blue colour with medium saturation and medium light yellow to orangy yellow colour with medium light saturation, under 10x magnification there are minor typical inclusions, with some pits and nicks. Diamonds are bright and lively. Signs of normal wear to the metal, with some light tarnish. Overall in very good condition.Case stamped Van Cleef & Arpels
